Who is Jim Pittman?

Jim Pittman, a 20 year resident of Effingham, is a Democratic candidate for Carroll County District 8 State Representative. District 8 is the floterial district that
includes the towns of Brookfield, Eaton, Effingham, Freedom, Madison, Moultonborough, Tamworth, and Wakefield.
Jim is a native of Bristol, Connecticut, home of ESPN, but has lived in New Hampshire for over twenty-five years. He currently serves as Effingham Town Moderator, was Effingham’s representative to the Governor Wentworth Regional School District Board for 2 terms, and was a member of Effingham’s Zoning Board of Adjustment for 10 years.
Currently retired, he was a small business owner, served on the Board of a national trade association, and was a United Auto Workers union member. He recently worked for a major medical device manufacturer where he was
a machine controls designer and quality manager.
Jim and his wife Katie have twelve grandchildren and two greatgrandchildren with two resident cats that enjoy participating in Zoom meetings. He is a ham radio operator, enjoys playing music, and is a member of Mensa.
